I came across a sentinel while backtracking for more ammo on the Library level in Halo and decided to sketch it. Took about an hour and a half to draw and shade.

You could also try drawing one from Halo2, by capturing it alive halfway through the Sacred Icon level. Once you get it off the floor its meant to stay on, and you get into a lower area with a load of good light, his details come up perfectly and he will even behave himself (he loses his AI). That's how I've managed to draw a few good pics of Sentinels, by using this one as my model
